Assistant Headteacher – Independent School (Greenwich)

About the role

The school is a specialist SEND independent school in Greenwich, offering Nursery, Senior School and Sixth Form. They are seeking an Assistant Headteacher to join a supportive senior leadership team and help drive the school’s continued success from September.

Key responsibilities

• Support the senior leadership team in delivering the school’s vision and strategic objectives.
• Contribute to the training and development of staff across all phases.
• Assist in overseeing the provision for pupils with SEND.
• Ensure safeguarding policies are upheld and up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Good honours degree.
• Significant experience working with pupils with SEND.
• At least one year of EYFS/KS1/KS2 teaching experience in the UK.
• Current safeguarding training (within the last year).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS with online update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional child‑related references covering the last two years.
