Assistant Hotel Manager (4‑Month Temporary Role)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic hospitality professional to support the Hotel Manager in the day‑to‑day operations of a busy hotel in Ashford. This four‑month temporary position offers the chance to develop leadership skills while ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Hotel Manager with overall hotel operations and daily decision‑making.
• Lead, motivate and develop departmental teams to maintain high service standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve queries promptly.
• Support recruitment, training and performance management of staff.
• Track hotel performance, budgets and departmental targets.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, company policies and hotel procedures.
• Drive revenue growth through effective operational management and upselling.
• Maintain excellent presentation standards throughout the property.
