Assistant Industrial Door Engineer

About the role

This is an entry‑level position with a specialist industrial door company that has over 50 years of experience. You will work alongside a senior engineer to learn how to service, repair and install a variety of industrial doors, gates, grilles and barriers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers on installation, maintenance and repair projects for industrial doors and related equipment.
• Learn to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on a range of door systems.
• Support call‑out duties and overtime work within a 40‑mile radius of Milton Keynes.
• Maintain accurate service records and follow health‑and‑safety procedures.

Required profile

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good attendance and punctuality.
• Interest in mechanics, engineering and basic electrical concepts.
• Ability to work full‑time Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm.

Required skills

• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Fundamental understanding of electrical systems.
