Assistant Lab Technician

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Lab Technician to join a busy industrial site in Hyde. This temporary‑to‑permanent position offers a pathway to a long‑term career for reliable and hardworking individuals. You will support production by operating and maintaining machinery while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor machinery safely and efficiently.
• Set up equipment and verify correct operation before production runs.
• Make basic machine adjustments as required.
• Carry out quality checks to confirm products meet specifications.
• Load raw materials and handle finished goods.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Report any faults or issues with machinery promptly.
• Support other production areas when needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a machine‑operator or industrial environment is desirable but not mandatory.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual and a strong team player.
• Willingness to perform manual handling tasks.
• Flexibility to work nights if required.
