Assistant Management Accountant (Interim)

About the role

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a hospitality business on an interim basis. This hands‑on role supports the finance team across the management accounts function, providing additional support during a busy period.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting with month end accounts and management reporting
• Balance sheet reconciliations and analysis
• Supporting P&L preparation and variance analysis
• Assisting with accruals, prepayments and journals
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting
• Working with operational teams to understand financial performance
• Assisting with cash flow and other finance reporting
• Supporting ad hoc finance projects and process improvements

Required profile

• Previous experience within a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant role
• Strong management accounting and reconciliation experience
• Comfortable working with P&L and balance sheet information
• Good Excel skills
• Ideally experience within hospitality, leisure, retail or another multi site environment
• Able to work independently and hit the ground running
• Good communication skills and comfortable working with non finance stakeholders
