Assistant Management Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team in London. You will support the preparation of management accounts, perform reconciliations and help improve financial processes in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts for the parent company and produce accounts for a subsidiary, including P&L, balance sheet and schedules.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of multi‑currency accounts and cash, and calculate sales commissions.
• Support balance‑sheet reconciliations across all group companies and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain financial records and databases, and prepare ad‑hoc reports and analysis for management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, collaborating with other departments.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in a similar corporate finance role.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a deadline‑driven environment.
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn; studying for ACCA/CIMA is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as Accounts IQ, QuickBooks or SAP.
