Assistant Management Accountant (Part Qualified)

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious ACCA or CIMA student to join our fast‑moving finance team within the construction sector. This hands‑on position will let you apply your studies to real‑world management accounting tasks while supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare balance‑sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Post accruals, pre‑payments and conduct stock valuations.
• Reconcile monthly stock and generate workshop job reports.
• Post nominal ledger journals and assist in preparing management accounts.
• Analyse spending patterns to identify efficiency opportunities.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register and support VAT return preparation.
• Produce weekly P&L estimates and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on finance‑related projects.

Required profile

• Currently studying ACCA or CIMA.
• 2‑3 years of experience in a similar finance role.
• Background in manufacturing or a stock‑intensive industry.
• Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with KlipBoard or similar is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and confident communication skills.
• Proactive, team‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• ERP system usage (e.g., KlipBoard).
