Assistant Manager – Hospitality

About the role

We are looking for an experienced hospitality leader to join Market Halls Victoria as an Assistant Manager. You will work alongside the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to deliver exceptional guest experiences and drive commercial performance in a busy, multi‑floor venue.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the venue during shifts, overseeing all departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Coach, develop and inspire supervisors and team members, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Deliver outstanding guest experiences and resolve any issues promptly.
• Manage labour, sales, stock control and profitability to meet commercial targets.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and the development of future leaders.
• Build strong relationships with traders and internal teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hospitality management or a similar leadership role.
• Strong people‑development skills and ability to motivate teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including busy weekends.
