About the role

JD Sports is seeking an Assistant Manager to support store operations and drive sales performance. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help deliver a premium customer experience and uphold the brand’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

Support the Store Manager with daily store operations to achieve sales targets and core KPIs.
Lead and guide colleagues on the shop floor, allocating tasks and ensuring excellent service delivery.
Maintain JD Sports standards throughout the day, including visual merchandising and store presentation.
Motivate the team to achieve performance goals and develop talent.
Assist with stock management, replenishment and loss prevention activities.
Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Confident leadership with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
Strong commercial awareness and focus on achieving sales targets.
Customer‑focused mindset and commitment to high service standards.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced retail environment.
