Assistant Manager – Residential Home

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to help run our residential home smoothly and deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care. You will support the care team, maintain a safe and welcoming environment, and step in on the rota to provide direct care when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the day‑to‑day management of the home.
• Support staff to deliver person‑centred care and uphold quality standards.
• Maintain a safe, homely environment for residents.
• Participate in the care rota and provide hands‑on support.
• Lead by example and promote the organisation’s values.

Required profile

• Experience in a care setting, preferably residential.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
• Person‑centred approach with respect for dignity and kindness.
• Confidence to support, guide and motivate a team.
• Values aligned with the employer’s mission.
