Assistant Manager - Restructuring Advisory

About the role

FRP Advisory is looking for a proactive Assistant Manager to join its Restructuring Advisory team in London. The role involves managing a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases, leading case strategy, ensuring statutory compliance and supporting business development.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases, including Trading and Pre‑Pack Administrations, CVLs and CVAs.
• Lead smaller CVL/MVL/administration (pre‑pack) engagements from start to finish and report directly to the partner.
• Develop case plans, strategy and execution with minimal supervision.
• Interpret relevant legislation (e.g., retention of title, employee rights in insolvent estates) and ensure compliance with statutory deadlines.
• Draft high‑quality reports, statutory documents and correspondence in line with insolvency legislation.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, reviewing their work and providing feedback.
• Handle VAT and Corporation Tax filing requirements and produce cash‑flow forecasts and statements of affairs.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in insolvency casework and corporate restructuring.
• Ability to lead assignments, manage stakeholders and mentor junior colleagues.
• Confidence to carry out redundancies and make commercial decisions.
• Excellent understanding of insolvency legislation and statutory compliance.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, delegating tasks as needed.
• Analytical skills to produce cash‑flow forecasts and assess outcomes.
