Assistant Manager – Retail Beauty Store

About the role

The Assistant Manager will support the Store Manager in driving sales and profitability at Space NK's Cribbs Causeway store. This role focuses on delivering a customer‑first experience while developing a high‑performing team in a dynamic beauty retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consistent product training and knowledge to enable unbiased customer advice.
• Help achieve and exceed sales, acquisition, ATV, AUS and conversion targets.
• Assist with payroll budgeting through effective scheduling and people planning.
• Maintain stock file accuracy and adhere to stock handling policies to minimise loss.
• Analyse business reports weekly, monthly and yearly to identify opportunities.
• Support recruitment, retention and development of a diverse, inclusive team.
• Deliver performance feedback and manage performance in line with company processes.
• Lead, motivate and inspire the team as a role model.

Required profile

• Demonstrates a ‘customer first’ mindset and can coach and motivate staff.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret commercial reports.
• Ability to identify key performance behaviours and competencies.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
