Assistant Manager – Retail Store (Watford)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our fast‑growing retail store in Watford. This role offers a clear progression path to Store Manager and includes a competitive salary plus bonus.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team to achieve sales and service targets in a high‑volume, seasonal environment.
• Ensure excellent customer experience and uphold store standards.
• Manage daily operations, stock control and visual merchandising.
• Drive performance through coaching, training and development of staff.
• Contribute to achieving the store’s financial objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a retail leadership role such as Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, Sales Manager or Department Manager.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to work in a fast‑paced, volume‑driven setting.
• Excellent people and communication skills.
• Motivation to progress to Store Manager.
