Assistant Principal - High Needs, SEND and Additional Learning Support

About the role

We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Principal to provide strategic leadership for High Needs, SEND and Additional Learning Support across a multi-campus further education college group in London. Reporting to the Executive Principal, you will shape the direction of inclusive provision, drive growth and ensure outstanding learner outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development and delivery of SEND, High Needs and Additional Learning Support across multiple campuses.
• Drive organisational growth, innovation and transformation of specialist services.
• Manage relationships with Local Authorities, funding bodies and commissioning partners.
• Ensure high-quality learner support, achievement and progression.
• Oversee funding strategies and growth opportunities for High Needs provision.
• Lead safeguarding, health and safety and risk management within specialist provision.
• Maintain compliance with statutory requirements and ensure inspection readiness.
• Champion inclusive practice and continuous improvement across the organisation.
• Develop and lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Degree-level qualification.
• Full teaching qualification recognised within the Further Education sector.
• Significant senior leadership experience in SEND, High Needs or Additional Learning Support.
