Assistant Relationship Manager – Trade Execution (Private Banking)

About the role

This position supports Relationship Managers in a private banking environment, delivering a high‑touch service to Ultra‑High‑Net‑Worth Individuals. You will be the first point of contact for clients when the Relationship Manager is unavailable and will execute client‑directed trades across a range of asset classes.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary client liaison in the Relationship Manager’s absence, handling queries promptly and professionally.
• Prepare briefing packs and documentation for client meetings and follow up on action items.
• Execute client trades, manage orders, payments and related transactional activities.
• Monitor maturity lists for deposits, loans and trades, taking standard actions and escalating when needed.
• Coordinate account opening, closing and maintenance in line with compliance standards.
• Liaise with Treasury, Trading, Operations, Investment Services, Compliance and Front‑Risk teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Manage system alerts and operational tasks, escalating investment‑related matters as required.
• Support business travel planning, document preparation and logistical needs for Relationship Managers.
• Collect KYC and AML documentation to facilitate client onboarding.

Required profile

• Strong organisational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience in a private bank or wealth management setting, preferably with trade execution exposure.
• Knowledge of derivatives and options trading is highly desirable.
• Minimum CISI Introduction to Securities and Investments qualification; higher CISI diplomas are a plus.
• Ability to prioritise and multitask under pressure while maintaining high accuracy.
• Client‑first attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
