Assistant Retail Manager (3‑month temporary role)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Assistant Retail Manager to support daily store operations for a three‑month period. This temporary role offers the chance to work closely with the Retail Manager in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring excellent customer service and smooth store performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Retail Manager with day‑to‑day store management.
• Lead, motivate and develop a team to deliver high‑quality customer service.
• Plan rotas, train staff and manage performance.
• Maintain stock levels, visual merchandising and store presentation standards.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
• Drive sales performance and help achieve store targets.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety and procedural standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a retail supervisory or assistant management role.
• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team motivation.
• Customer‑focused with excellent communication skills.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to multitask.
• Commercially aware with a proactive sales mindset.
• Flexible, reliable and available to work weekends and peak periods.
