Assistant Risk Manager – Regional Risk

About the role

CITIC CLSA is expanding its UK business and seeks an Assistant Risk Manager to support local risk management and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with UK management, front‑office teams, compliance, finance, operations and the central risk team in Hong Kong.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular risk reporting for internal communication and FCA regulatory requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments for new business initiatives and activities.
• Prepare on‑demand risk monitoring reports and liaise with relevant stakeholders.
• Develop risk‑limits review and committee materials for local management.
• Review risk limits delegated from other risk teams.
• Maintain and update local risk policies and procedures documentation.
• Support risk‑related IT system enhancements and reporting projects.
• Carry out ongoing data‑management activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, STEM or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial services or risk management.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional language is a plus.
• Attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward career development in risk.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
