Assistant Store Manager - 12 months Maternity Cover

About the role

Mountain Warehouse is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for a 12‑month maternity cover in Ambleside. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help drive daily operations, support a high‑performing team and ensure an outstanding shopping experience for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to lead, motivate and develop a collaborative team, delivering product knowledge and excellent customer service.
• Maintain operational excellence by overseeing visual merchandising, housekeeping, health‑and‑safety compliance and stock replenishment.
• Support sales targets, monitor KPIs, manage deliveries and implement loss‑prevention measures.
• Handle customer feedback promptly, represent the brand positively and build connections with the local community.
