Assistant Store Manager

About the role

As an Assistant Store Manager at ASICS in Bridgend you will support the Store Manager in driving sales, profitability and delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will step in to lead the store when the manager is absent and help shape the day‑to‑day retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and profitability.
• Analyse local market trends and share insights with management.
• Assist with recruitment, training, retention and development of the store team.
• Plan and execute product flow, visual merchandising and in‑store displays.
• Manage back‑of‑house operations, store cleaning duties and staff rotas.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and store presentation.

Required profile

• Approximately 2 years of retail management experience, including coaching and people development.
• Qualification in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to meet KPIs and drive commercial performance.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Flexibility to work varied retail hours and cover the Store Manager when needed.
