Assistant Store Manager – Luxury Jewellery

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join a leading luxury jewellery retailer in Salisbury. The role combines hands‑on customer service with leadership of a 14‑person team, supporting the Managing Director and senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of 14, including two Assistant Managers, to deliver exceptional service and meet sales targets.
• Plan and manage staff rotas, balancing peak trading periods with employee time‑off.
• Develop and execute sales strategies that maximise revenue and customer engagement.
• Maintain visual standards, stock control and overall operational excellence.
• Recruit, train and appraise team members, fostering continuous development.
• Monitor KPIs, analyse trends, forecast performance and report to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, financial procedures and store policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a fine jewellery or luxury retail store.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
• Commercially aware and results‑driven.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Bransom or other POS systems.
