Assistant Store Manager – Retail (Bracknell)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in a high‑volume big‑box retailer. You will help drive sales, manage costs and ensure an excellent customer experience while developing the skills needed for future store leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of a key department and act as Duty Manager when required.
• Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets, shrinkage control and labour management.
• Lead, coach and motivate store colleagues to maintain a positive, productive environment.
• Maintain high standards of stock management, merchandising and store presentation.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and company policies.
• Analyse performance data to identify improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager, Department Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• Hands‑on leader who enjoys working on the shop floor.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a passion for delivering results.
• Ambition to progress into a Store Management position.
