Assistant Store Manager – Retail Leadership

About the role

Working alongside the Store Manager, you will share responsibility for the day‑to‑day operation of a busy retail outlet. You’ll lead a small team, motivate staff to deliver excellent customer experiences and help the store meet ambitious sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑manage daily store activities, ensuring smooth operations and high standards.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of 4‑6 staff members.
• Drive sales performance by meeting and exceeding set targets.
• Provide honest product advice and build strong rapport with customers.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and oversee visual merchandising.
• Work up to 45 hours per week, with overtime paid or taken as time off in lieu.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a retail or sales‑focused customer service role.
• Supervisory or junior management experience, preferably in a hard‑goods environment.
• Demonstrated ability to sell a product range and achieve sales targets.
• Strong numeracy, accuracy and basic computer literacy.
• Self‑motivated, enthusiastic team player with a can‑do attitude.
