Assistant Store Manager – Retail Leadership Role

About the role

We are looking for a motivated team leader to join our Specsavers store in Morpeth (and Alnwick) as an Assistant Store Manager. You will help drive a customer‑first mindset while ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support store staff to deliver excellent eye and hearing care services.
• Maintain store standards, stock levels and visual merchandising.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and a safe environment for customers and team.
• Assist the Store Manager with scheduling, training and performance management.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly.

Required profile

• Strong retail background with supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Detail‑oriented, organised and adaptable.
• Passionate about helping the community.
• Experience in an optics business is desirable.
