Assistant Technician

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Assistant Technician to join our underwriting team in Cheltenham. This entry‑level position offers a great opportunity to start a career in the insurance market, working with London Market data and supporting a people‑centric culture.

Key responsibilities

• Process London Market insurance underwriting data following established procedure guides.
• Analyse technical data and calculate transactions such as limits, premiums and deductions.
• Collaborate proactively with team members and support cross‑functional client accounts.
• Maintain professional relationships with client counterparts and contribute to team success.
• Work closely with the line manager to achieve performance benchmarks.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ including Mathematics and English.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to service excellence.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to study for the CII qualification.
• Alignment with PoloWorks PRIDE values (Pioneering, Responsible, Inclusive, Delivery‑Focused, Empowering).
