Assistant Vice President – Delta One Equity Swaps Trade Support

About the role

Citi is seeking an experienced professional to join its Markets Operations team as an Assistant Vice President supporting Delta One Equity Swaps. The role sits within the Prime Finance Middle Office and acts as the main operational contact for equity swaps clients.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational point of contact for assigned equity swaps clients, handling all inquiries and issues.
• Provide operational support to Front Office Sales and Trading throughout the trade lifecycle, including trade capture, allocation and exception clearance.
• Manage equity hedge and swap trade processing and resolve technical connectivity problems with technology partners.
• Oversee client trade activity, liaise with internal desks and clients to resolve discrepancies, and handle settlement inquiries.
• Ensure accurate front‑to‑back reconciliation, identify operational risks and contribute to continuous process‑improvement initiatives.
• Participate in strategic change projects, offering solutions to complex trade‑flow problems and driving automation.
• Maintain a strong control environment, monitor regulatory compliance and escalate potential risks.
• Provide informal leadership, coaching and mentoring to junior staff and new recruits.

Required profile

• Highly motivated individual with solid experience in markets operations or middle‑office functions.
• Strong client‑facing skills and ability to manage high volumes with quick turnarounds.
• Excellent communication with both external clients and internal stakeholders across Business, Middle Office and Operations.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a focus on operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
