Assistant Vice President – Equity Swaps Trade Support

About the role

Citi is seeking an experienced professional to join its Markets Operations team as an Assistant Vice President supporting Equity Swaps. Based in London, you will be the primary operational point of contact for Prime Swap clients, ensuring smooth trade lifecycle management and high‑quality client service.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main operational liaison for assigned Equity Swaps clients, handling inquiries and issue resolution.
• Provide end‑to‑end support for Front Office Sales and Trading, including trade capture, allocation, exception clearance and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Monitor client trade activity, coordinate with internal desks, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Manage settlement inquiries and ensure accurate Front‑to‑Back reconciliation.
• Identify operational risks, contribute to process‑improvement initiatives and drive automation to reduce manual processing.
• Participate in strategic change projects, offering solutions to complex trade‑flow problems.
• Mentor junior staff and help build robust risk‑management tools and infrastructure.

Required profile

• Strong motivation and experience in middle‑office or operations within a prime finance environment.
• Excellent client‑facing skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Proactive attitude toward risk identification and process optimisation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of equity hedge and swap trade processing.
• Understanding of trade lifecycle, allocation and settlement procedures.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and control frameworks.
