Associate Building Surveyor – Lead Consultant Role

About the role

This is a succession‑focused opportunity within a respected, RICS‑regulated London practice that specialises in high‑end residential and mixed‑use projects. You will work directly with the founder, acting as the number two and helping to scale the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead consultant and Contract Administrator on projects ranging from £100k to £1m.
• Deliver professional instructions such as dilapidations, Technical Defect Diagnosis (TDD), defect diagnosis and licences to alter.
• Advise managing agents, freeholders and private clients.
• Take full ownership of projects from instruction through to completion.
• Support and grow the Building Surveying service line.

Required profile

• MRICS qualification preferred, strong non‑chartered candidates also considered.
• Proven experience in high‑end residential or mixed‑use assets.
• Confident client‑facing attitude with commercial awareness.
• Strong technical grounding in fabric and defect analysis.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage own workload.
• Willingness to relocate to London for the right long‑term opportunity.
