Associate Cyber Risk Analyst – CISO (SCIB)

About the role

The Chief Information Security Office (CISO) at Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is looking for an Associate to support cyber and technology risk management for the London Branch. Reporting to the Head of Technology Risk/CISO, you will help implement and monitor risk controls, drive cyber initiatives and ensure compliance with group policies.

Key responsibilities

• Act as PMO for cybersecurity initiatives, covering both Group‑led programmes and CIB divisional projects.
• Produce and analyse risk management information (MI), deliver high‑quality reporting and support remediation activities.
• Maintain and enhance the Risk Control Self‑Assessment (RCSA) framework, focusing on control design and effectiveness.
• Support third‑party onboarding due diligence to ensure suppliers meet security standards.
• Identify root causes of operational incidents and track remediation actions to resolution.
• Continuously assess and improve risk management toolsets, processes and methodologies.
• Collaborate with Global Delivery teams and Production Management to strengthen communication and promote best practices.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a cyber or technology risk role.
• Ability to think holistically and understand system interactions.
• Experience of risk management within a technology environment.
• In‑depth understanding of IT security principles and exposure to cybersecurity solutions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proven ability to contribute to and lead service improvement initiatives.
