Associate Dean of Digital Education

About the role

The Associate Dean of Digital Education will provide strategic leadership for BIMM University’s digital learning, teaching and assessment. Working within the Provost’s Office, you will shape institutional priorities and champion the effective use of learning technologies and artificial intelligence across the university.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the Digital Education Strategy and guide future developments in educational technology and AI.
• Collaborate with academic leaders and professional services to embed digital approaches in curriculum design, assessment and programme delivery.
• Support improvements in student engagement, progression and attainment through evidence‑informed educational enhancement.
• Manage and develop the Digital Learning Team, fostering a collaborative environment focused on high‑quality outcomes.
• Develop and review policies on digital education, accessibility, academic integrity and responsible AI use.
• Provide training and support to staff to build confidence in digital pedagogy, learning design and assessment.
• Oversee the evolution of learning technologies, digital environments and AI‑enabled tools, informing investment decisions.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in higher education or a related sector.
• Demonstrated ability to drive digital transformation and embed technology‑enhanced learning.
• Strong understanding of inclusive learning design, accessibility standards and academic integrity.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Experience with learning management systems and digital learning platforms.
• Knowledge of AI applications in education and learning analytics.
• Ability to develop policies and frameworks for digital education.
