The role partners with International Value & Access, Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Real-World Evidence and external experts to deliver evidence that is both scientifically rigorous and payer-relevant, and helps advance HTA capabilities and reimbursement dossiers in key markets.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide strategic statistical leadership for HTA, pricing and reimbursement, market access and integrated evidence generation across assigned programs.
  • Lead the implementation of efficient HTA methods, including population-adjustment methodology and evidence synthesis, and defend them under payer scrutiny.
  • Drive early and continuous evidence synthesis strategy and contribute to standards, reusable templates, automation and best practices.
  • Support responses to payers and contribute to scientific interactions with decision-making agencies, healthcare professionals and external experts.
  • Communicate complex statistical findings, assumptions, limitations and recommendations clearly to statistical and non-statistical stakeholders.
  • Plan, prioritize and oversee project-level activities across parallel programs, manage resources and deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Support vendor selection and provide scientific and quality oversight for outsourced HTA activities.
  • Coach and mentor biostatisticians in HTA statistical methodologies, processes and scientific communication.
  • Contribute to publication work across assets.

Required profile

  • PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics or a related quantitative field with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in HTA, reimbursement evidence generation and indirect treatment comparison methods.
  • Strong understanding of drug development and the evidence needs of major HTA and reimbursement bodies across multiple regions.
  • Ability to lead complex, parallel projects across therapeutic areas and influence senior decision-making in a global matrix environment.
  • Director candidates should show established scientific credibility through peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, methodological contributions, guidance development or leadership in professional or HTA groups.

Required skills

  • HTA methods: survival extrapolation, treatment-switching adjustment, health-state utility analysis, causal inference with real-world evidence, missing-data methods, external controls and transportability.
  • Biostatistics, statistical analysis and clinical trials.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

What we offer

  • Expected annual base salary range of 83,510 to 155,090 GBP.
  • Possible performance-based bonus and long-term equity awards.
  • Flexible and hybrid working options where possible, and minimum 14 weeks paid parental leave.
  • Insurance plans, retirement plans, wellbeing resources and global recognition programs.
