Associate Director – Ecology

About the role

BWB Consulting is seeking an experienced Associate Director in Ecology to join our Nottingham or Leeds office. This senior position combines technical leadership, team management, and business development within a leading environmental consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on bat and broader ecological surveys.
• Manage and deliver ecology projects to high standards.
• Lead and develop a team of ecologists and support staff.
• Drive business development and maintain client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with Natural England and EPS licensing requirements.

Required profile

• Proven consultancy track record as an ecologist.
• Commercially aware with experience in business development.
• Ability to manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team.
• Hold a Natural England Class 2 Bat Licence and be able to hold EPS licences.
