Associate Director, Product Development – Private Assets

About the role

Barings is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead product development for its Private Assets franchise, covering Private Credit and Real Estate Equity & Debt. You will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of investment products, ensuring they are commercially viable and aligned with client needs.

Key responsibilities

• Define, develop and launch new private‑asset funds, managing documentation, structuring and financial modelling.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert on fund commercial terms, liquidity features and ESG guidelines.
• Coordinate product launches through Barings’ governance process and maintain ongoing product stewardship.
• Collaborate closely with Portfolio Managers, Legal, Compliance, Sales, Operations, Finance, Risk and external service providers.
• Monitor regulatory developments and implement efficient responses to changing requirements.
