Associate Director – Property Management (Maternity Cover)

About the role

This maternity‑cover position offers an experienced Associate Director the chance to lead operational service delivery for a large residential property portfolio in London. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure high standards of client satisfaction, compliance and business improvement across multiple developments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operational delivery across the residential portfolio, collaborating with finance, compliance, technology and support teams.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve service levels, response times and customer feedback.
• Oversee health & safety, statutory inspections, planned preventative maintenance and remedial actions.
• Maintain audit trails, monitor compliance performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor and develop Property Managers and operational staff, conducting performance reviews and identifying training needs.
• Build strong relationships with clients, residents and contractors, acting as senior escalation point for complex issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior property management or residential real‑estate leadership roles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large residential portfolios and drive operational excellence.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety, compliance and risk management in the property sector.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Track record of developing high‑performing teams and delivering client‑focused outcomes.
