Associate Director – Safety & Risk (South West England)

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Director – Safety & Risk to lead our Safety & Risk team in the South West of England. In this senior position you will act as the regional technical lead for a valued client, delivering Principal Designer and CDM Advisor services across a portfolio of flood and coastal projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and resource a team of Safety & Risk Consultants throughout the South West region.
• Collaborate with client Project Managers, internal health & safety teams and external delivery partners.
• Support projects from feasibility studies through detailed design and on‑site construction.
• Ensure designs incorporate buildability, sustainability, environmental impact and health & safety from the outset.
• Oversee the delivery of CDM compliance and Principal Designer duties on diverse schemes.

Required profile

• Chartered Safety Professional.
• Relevant degree or diploma in a related discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

• CDM Regulations 2015 compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Report writing capability.
