Associate Publishing Manager – Nature Masterclasses

About the role

The Associate Publishing Manager will coordinate and support the development of Nature Masterclasses online training products, including courses, webinars and short‑form content for researchers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Publishing Manager in developing proposals for new content and formats.
• Coordinate commissioning and recruitment of internal and external experts, reviewers and freelancers.
• Lead video production, including filming coordination, quality control and rights clearance.
• Manage copy‑editing and proofreading workflows, ensuring QA standards and permissions.
• Upload, update and organise content on learning and content management systems in collaboration with design and marketing teams.
• Plan and run webinars, handling expert commissioning, presentation preparation, participant communication and technical setup.
• Create project schedules, track milestones, document progress and mitigate risks to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales and learning design to promote new training products and develop promotional materials.

Required profile

• Experience working or studying within a research environment and understanding scientists’ needs.
• Excellent project management, written and verbal communication, and analytical problem‑solving skills.
• Graduate degree in the sciences.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast‑paced setting.
• Desirable experience commissioning subject‑matter experts, managing freelancers and using content or learning management systems.
