Associate R&D Tax Consultant – Advisory Role

About the role

We are seeking an Associate R&D Tax Consultant to join our dynamic team of R&D tax incentive professionals. You will work with a range of clients to translate their technical projects into high‑quality UK R&D tax claims.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in client workshops to understand technological development activities and qualifying criteria.
• Analyse projects and supporting expenditure against UK R&D tax legislation and DSIT guidance.
• Support the preparation and quantification of R&D tax claims, including drafting claim documentation and costing schedules.
• Develop an understanding of different R&D incentives (ERIS, Merged RDEC, RDA) and advise on their application.
• Build effective relationships with colleagues, clients and external advisers under senior guidance.

Required profile

• Technical background in science, engineering or technology.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Interest in developing a career within R&D tax incentives and professional services.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of UK R&D tax legislation and DSIT guidelines.
• Familiarity with R&D incentive schemes such as ERIS, Merged RDEC and RDA.
