Associate ServiceNow Developer – NHS England Agile Team

About the role

We are looking for an Associate ServiceNow Developer to join an Agile delivery team supporting NHS England. The role focuses on designing, building and optimising ServiceNow solutions that streamline business processes, boost automation and future‑proof digital services.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
• Configure and customise ServiceNow applications following best practices.
• Develop proof‑of‑concepts to validate designs before deployment.
• Implement new modules, platform enhancements and architectural changes.
• Design and build integrations with third‑party systems where required.
• Identify opportunities to automate workflows and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure high‑quality, secure deliverables.
• Work within Scrum/PI planning frameworks and engage with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Create dashboards and reporting capabilities to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience with ServiceNow development, configuration and customisation.
• Experience delivering solutions in UK public sector or regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and Customer Service Management (CSM) modules.
• Familiarity with Now Assist AI‑driven capabilities.
• Solid grasp of Agile delivery methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
