Associate Solicitor – Property Litigation

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Solicitor to join our growing Property Litigation team in the South East. You will work alongside recognised experts handling a broad mix of commercial and residential property disputes for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own varied caseload of commercial and residential property disputes.
• Handle commercial landlord and tenant disputes, business lease renewals and dilapidations.
• Deal with breach of covenant, alterations, reinstatement, rent reviews, rent arrears, service charge and forfeiture matters.
• Process break notices, vacant possession, business rates appeals and boundary disputes.
• Address rights of way, restrictive covenants, adverse possession, rights to light, telecoms and development disputes.
• Conduct construction‑related property litigation, overage agreements and insolvency‑related property matters.
• Manage files, billing and ensure matters are delivered within agreed budgets and timescales.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or equivalent.
• Approximately 2‑5 years’ post‑qualification experience, with strong commercial awareness.
• Previous property litigation experience is essential, or a solid litigation background with significant property dispute work.
• In‑depth knowledge of commercial landlord and tenant law and relevant property legislation.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy abilities.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Proactive, collaborative approach with a genuine interest in specialist property litigation.
