Attendance Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an organised Attendance Administrator to support a busy secondary school on the Wirral. The role is part‑time, term‑time only, and focuses on accurate recording and monitoring of student attendance to help safeguard learners.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update daily attendance records using the Arbor system.
• Monitor attendance patterns, including absences, lateness and early departures.
• Investigate unexplained absences and ensure required documentation is received.
• Identify trends and raise concerns to senior staff.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and external agencies where necessary.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and record‑keeping abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Arbor attendance software (essential).
