Audio Visual Events Technician

About the role

proAV Ltd is seeking an experienced Audio Visual Events Technician to join its London team. You will be the primary on‑site AV specialist for a busy calendar of corporate events, responsible for planning, advising, and executing high‑quality AV solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end AV support for corporate events in line with Event Function Sheets.
• Identify technical requirements, attend client meetings in an advisory capacity, and ensure flawless event execution.
• Report any service shortcomings to the AV Events Team Leader and maintain SLA compliance.
• Handle day‑to‑day administrative duties and ad‑hoc tasks assigned by senior staff.
• Follow health & safety and first‑aid procedures and ensure consistent standards across all events.
• Suggest and implement new methods to improve efficiency.
• Travel between sites as required and provide meeting‑room support.
• Maintain compliance with information security policies and process enquiries via the Events team mailbox.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in a client‑facing corporate events environment.
• Proven ability to deliver AV services to the highest specifications within a corporate head‑office setting.
• Strong computer literacy and willingness to learn new software and systems.
• CTS certification preferred (training provided if not already certified).

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Tandberg, Polycom, Lifesize video‑conferencing systems.
• Proficiency in control systems such as AMX and Crestron.
• Knowledge of audio‑processing equipment from Clear One, Extron and Mediastar.
• Experience operating digital sound desks.
