Audio Visual Service Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Service Engineer to join our team in Reading. You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting a variety of professional AV systems across commercial sites, ensuring customers receive high‑quality technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, service and repair professional audio‑visual equipment.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.
• Respond to reactive service calls and troubleshoot system faults.
• Commission replacement equipment as required.
• Provide remote technical support to customers.
• Produce accurate service reports and documentation.
• Liaise with customers to ensure efficient and professional completion of work.
• Collaborate with Projects and Technical teams to resolve complex issues.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Audio Visual Service Engineer or AV Installation Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of commercial AV systems such as video‑conferencing, digital signage, projectors, displays, audio and control systems.
• Proven fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Full UK driving licence.
