Audit & Accounts Director / Partner – Liverpool

About the role

Vaisto Recruitment is partnering with a mid‑tier accountancy practice to recruit an Audit & Accounts Director/Partner for their Liverpool office. You will play a lead role in growing the practice, working closely with existing partners and the wider partnership team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee audit and accounting engagements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on financial and business matters.
• Drive business development initiatives to expand the client base and enhance service offerings.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to shape strategic plans, goals and profitability targets.
• Mentor, coach and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends, regulatory changes and best practices to improve service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a client portfolio at Senior Manager or Director level within an accounting practice.
• Demonstrable success in business development and client acquisition.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of mentoring teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
