Audit & Accounts Senior – High Wycombe

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established accountancy practice in High Wycombe to hire an Audit & Accounts Senior. This permanent position offers a varied mix of audit and accounts work across a diverse client portfolio, providing a solid platform for technical development and long‑term career growth.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with and complete audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Prepare statutory accounts for a range of clients.
• Support senior team members during audit fieldwork and client engagements.
• Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries.
• Work on a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years’ experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong experience in both audit and accounts preparation.
• Good understanding of UK GAAP and compliance requirements.
• Confident handling of a varied client portfolio.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
