Audit & Accounts Senior

About the role

Pro‑Finance is seeking an Audit & Accounts Senior to join its growing practice in Manchester. This role is ideal for an ACA or ACCA finalist or qualified accountant who wants to develop their career within a supportive, collaborative environment while working with a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit fieldwork for a broad range of clients and complete audit testing in line with ISAs.
• Prepare clear audit working papers and assist with audit planning, risk assessments and scoping.
• Monitor audit budgets, identify issues and communicate findings to management.
• Support audit completion, including analytical reviews and clearance of review points.
• Review work of trainees and junior staff, and prepare year‑end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Assist clients with bookkeeping queries and advise on accounting system improvements.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA finalist or qualified accountant.
• Previous experience in an accountancy practice handling audit and accounts work.
• Proven ability to lead audit fieldwork and prepare statutory accounts.
• Strong knowledge of FRS 102, FRS 105 and International Standards on Auditing.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff is advantageous.
