Audit & Accounts Senior Manager / Associate Director

About the role

This newly created senior position sits within a growing independent accountancy firm and offers a clear route to Director level within 1–3 years. You will work closely with the Partners, own client relationships and help shape the future direction of the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of SMEs, groups, LLPs and charities, reviewing and preparing statutory accounts under FRS 102.
• Oversee audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Deliver advisory and business support services to privately owned businesses.
• Mentor junior team members and active studiers.
• Collaborate with Partners to ensure high‑quality client service and drive firm growth.
• Contribute to the strategic development of the firm as a future Director.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with strong technical audit and accounts experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams and develop client relationships.
• Ambition to obtain a Practising Certificate and RI status.
• Interest in building a career as a general practitioner.

Required skills

• Proficiency with cloud‑based accounting systems, preferably Xero.
