Audit & Accounts Senior – Romsey

About the role

We are seeking an Audit & Accounts Senior to join a well‑established accountancy firm in Romsey. The successful candidate will lead audit engagements, prepare statutory accounts and support tax compliance for a diverse client base, while working in a supportive, forward‑thinking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Assist with corporation tax computations and VAT returns.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, reviewing their work and supporting their development.
• Liaise directly with clients to manage expectations and deliver high‑quality service.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards.
• Collaborate with managers and partners to support client retention and business growth.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Strong experience in both audit and accounts within a UK accountancy practice.
• Excellent technical knowledge of financial reporting and auditing standards.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead assignments.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
