Audit and Accounts Senior – Exeter

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to join a respected chartered accountancy firm in Exeter. The role offers a balanced mix of audit and accounting work across a diverse client base, providing valuable exposure for a professional looking to deepen technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts and management accounts.
• Coordinate with junior staff, ensuring quality and timely delivery of work.
• Maintain client relationships and communicate findings effectively.
• Assist in developing audit strategies and improving service delivery.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with solid audit experience.
• Proven ability to manage audit engagements end‑to‑end.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
