Audit Assistant Manager – Chester

About the role

The Audit Assistant Manager will join Xeinadin’s Chester office, delivering high‑quality audit services to a diverse client portfolio while supporting the development of junior team members. Working closely with Managers and Partners, you will manage audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver excellent service to audit clients, meeting or exceeding expectations.
• Maintain strong client relationships and act as primary contact.
• Manage audit assignments from planning to completion, meeting deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Lead and oversee audit engagements, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and internal procedures.
• Review audit work performed by junior team members, providing constructive feedback.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior members on audit matters.
• Mentor, coach, and support junior team members to develop technical knowledge.
• Assist with planning and allocation of audit work across the team.
• Identify risks, issues, and opportunities during assignments and communicate them to Managers and Partners.
• Assist with preparation and review of statutory accounts and other compliance work as required.
• Support Managers and Partners with client meetings, proposals, and business development activities.

Required profile

• Technically strong and organised audit professional.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead audit engagements.
• Experience reviewing audit work and providing feedback.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and proactive client approach.
