Audit Assistant Manager

About the role

Join a leading Top20 Accountancy Practice in Central London as an Audit Assistant Manager. You will lead commercial audit engagements for corporate PLCs and private equity‑backed businesses across hospitality and entertainment sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit and accounting clients with turnovers up to £150m, including listed and private groups.
• Lead qualified audit staff on client sites, ensuring audit objectives are met and work papers are completed on time.
• Assist Partners in planning and executing complex UK and international audit engagements, from opening to closing meetings.
• Develop new business by maintaining existing client relationships and targeting new audit opportunities in the London region.
• Review internal audit practices, identify efficiency improvements, and support compliance procedures such as quality control and anti‑money‑laundering reviews.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ICAS or ACCA accountant with a minimum of 3 years’ experience managing client portfolios.
• Experience in auditing corporate, PE‑backed, listed and international groups, preferably from a Top100 or well‑regarded regional firm.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102.
