Audit Assistant Manager

About the role

A well‑established, fast‑growing accountancy firm in Leeds is seeking an experienced Audit Assistant Manager. This is a great opportunity for a qualified auditor to own a diverse client portfolio across multiple sectors while working in a collaborative, people‑focused environment that values progression and flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and complete audit assignments and accounts work.
• Liaise with clients and those preparing accounts, providing required information on their behalf.
• Ensure work meets external client and regulatory deadlines as well as internal timelines.
• Deliver audit or account files for manager review within budget and appropriate timescales.
• Identify business issues for clients and raise them to the appropriate manager, partner, or directly to the client.
• Recognise client needs and actively develop new business opportunities.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team player willing to support colleagues.
• Ability to prioritise workloads under strict deadlines and work well under pressure.
• Strong initiative, organisation and problem‑solving skills.
